Municipal Court Hearings

The Town of Hollywood Park Municipal Court is held the first Wednesday of every month. ***UNLESS OTHERWISE WRITTEN ON THE CITATION***Upon arrival at City Hall, check in with the Court Clerk at the window then take a seat in the courtroom. Court check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Court is called to order promptly at 4p.m.

COURT DATES

Reset of Court Date

If you are unable to appear on your scheduled court date, a one time reset may be granted by the court. The reset will push your court date back one month to the next court date. Only one reset is permitted. A Request to Reset Court Date form must be completed in person at City Hall prior to your originally scheduled court date. For further information regarding a court date reset, please call the Deputy Court Clerk.

Juveniles

Defendants under the age of 17 MUST APPEAR in person, accompanied by a parent or guardian, on their scheduled court date to speak with the Judge.

Defensive Driving

You MAY be able to request charges against you be dismissed by taking a DRIVING SAFETY COURSE (for offenses covered under subtitle C, Transportation Code) if you:

1. Enter a plea of 'guilty' or 'no contest' to the charge
2. Appear before the Deputy Court Clerk to complete a request form and pay a fee of $107.10.
3. Present a valid Texas driver's license or permit.
4. Do not hold a commercial drivers license.
5. Have not completed a course within one year of the date of this ticket and are not now in the process of taking a course.
6. Were not speeding 25 mph or more over the posted speed limit
7. Present proof of liability insurance
8. Complete the course within 90 days of Court approval
9. Obtain a copy of driving record from DPS in Austin for $10.00
10. Submit 'UNIFORM CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION' in accordance with Court instructions.

Do NOT take the course prior to Court approval. If you fail to request a DRIVING SAFETY COURSE on or before your hearing date, you lose your opportunity to take said course.

Payment of Your Fines

The Town of Hollywood Park accepts cash, credit card, personal checks and money orders for the payment of fines. No debit cards are currently accepted.

PAYMENT IS DUE ON THE DATE YOU APPEAR

Citations received as of January 1, 2010 are under a new fee schedule. Please be sure to check the citation date and use the correct fee schedule.
